Who Else But Us

Who Else But Us is an art exhibition that explores how our identities are deeply tied to our environment and objects therein.

The show is comprised of paintings on paper and canvas depicting images that have served as a sense of cultural familiarity
and associations to Chicagoan subculture. The work collectively speaks to the theme, combining portraiture and imagery of
related objects, examining their relationships through a surrealist framework.

The goal of the show is to shine light on the importance of authoring our own narrative. Challenging us to examine how when doing so,
we can alter perceptions and find commonalities that we once thought separated on individual experiences. The ANNEX - Asia
launches its first series of events, Singapore Never Sleeps Vol. 1 from 25th - 27th May in collaboration with TAKSU and Kilo Lounge.
